After everyone committed two long weeks of hard work, our goal to bring India’s first free skatepark was finally done! It was smiles for miles in India and it felt great to us all. Thanks to all and to the Holystoked crew for never giving up! It’s all about taking action and doing what’s right! Look how happy skateboarding makes these kids!

Our first project was the construction of the Holystoked Skatepark, India's first free of charge public skatepark. Since completion of the project, Holystoked has constructed more than 20 skateparks in the country, making skateboarding accessible to thousands of Indian youth. Due to legal issues in the residential area where it was built, the Holystoked Skatepark had to close its doors in 2014.

Subsequently, Holystoked built The Cave. The Cave is a space where everyone can skate and express themselves freely and without judgment. It is used daily by 20 to 30 local skaters and youth from the neighborhood. Organized skate classes take place two days a week, community events such as barbecues and concerts every two months, and a skate contest is organized once a year.
